How to Help

LVMAC is a volunteer supported organization and we depend on the time, talents and financial support of the community.  Below are examples of how you can help.   To contribute in one of these areas please contact Admin.Office@lvmac.org or call 484-788-0196 — or contact the Point of Contact provided.

Volunteer to Assist in Our Golf Tournament

Every year in the October period, LVMAC needs volunteers for its annual golf fundraiser, sponsored by the J.G. Petrucci Company, a long-time and outstanding member organization.  Get a free lunch, dinner and golf shirt.  If you are available to assist the day of the event, please contact us using the email address or telephone number above.   Include your shirt size for the golf shirt and also whether or not you will attend the awards dinner when you contact her. Start time for the golfers is usually around  9:00 am.  It’s a pleasant way to help, provides a networking opportunity and your efforts support our various programs — the money is used locally. Hope to hear from you

Respond to an LVMAC Poll or Survey

From time to time, LVMAC conducts surveys and polls to assess the actual situation and to plan future efforts, particularly in the Lehigh Valley.  One of the simplest ways of helping is to respond to one of them.  They only take a few moments of your time.  Click here to see if one applies to you and to help us.

Sponsor an Organization which Operates in the Local Area with Veterans

Follow the lead of such local companies and organizations as the J.G. Petrucci Company , First Generation , Bethlehem Morning Star Rotarians, Landis Family Foundation and Judith’s Reading Room  in taking the time to find active, worthwhile organizations which provide services to our local military-veterans community.  Most local organizations providing services to veterans do not have the fundraising and volunteer help “engines” of the national ones, despite their likewise worthy deeds — ones more likely to have a local impact.  Keeping resources within one’s own community is sometimes the best thing to do.  Our membership list provides many examples of these types of organizations.  Or contact us and we will try to match you to an organization that best fits your thinking.

Band of Brothers Seeks Financial Support for a “Tribute to the Troops” Garden

The Band of Brothers veterans group at Northampton Community College, a member organization of LVMAC, is  raising funds for a “Tribute to the Troops” section in the Tribute Garden at the main campus.  Their intent is to provide a place of reflection to honor our veterans, both living and dead, for the students, faculty and staff and friends of the college. To learn how to become part of the project through a contribution for a paver, plaque, bench or tree ,consult the brochure.
